That’s not a Solution; It’s a Workaround

Why are we so quick to accept a non-solution?

The way to fix a leaky roof is not to put a bucket under the drip.

Living with the problem will not make it go away – it will make you complacent and condition you into thinking it’s okay.

Put down the bucket and fix the leak.

That’s not a solution; it’s a workaround.

And workarounds are unacceptable.

How Strong Are Your Shoulders?

“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.”

Isaac Newton said this in 1675, but the concept had already been around for a few hundred years by the time he got his hands on it.

This tells me that for all of “modern” history, humans have known that we need help and support from one another.

Most of us start at the bottom and work our way up, being shouldered by the Giants for a good portion of our journey.

But what then? Do we stop learning, stop progressing?

No.

We become the Giants.

We become stronger by shouldering others through their journey.

It never ends.

So, how strong are your shoulders?
